Today started well, I woke up early took a shower and shaved and left at 8am to the morning rush hour to go to Meiji-Jingu Shrine.
The train was packed as usual at that time. Time I got to Harajuku the sun started to shine and I felt so happy that I could get good pictures and I did, Meiji-Jingu was amazing ! definitely one of my favorites in Tokyo.
After I finished in the Shrine I took my iPhone and opened some of my Japan apps to get some ideas where to go next, so I decided to go to Shinjuku to go to the Tocho building to see another High view of Tokyo , but when I got there I noticed it was closed down because of the recent earthquakes.
Well okay that is understandable, so I decided to go to Sunshine city in Ikebukuro but it’s famous observatory was also closed but I went through the shops there and I also tried to eat in Burger King … was a bad idea and that will never happen again, I should have went to some nice Japanese place, but this is how I learn 😀
After Sunshine City I went to Edogawabashi station and tried to find Chinzan-so but it started raining soon as I got there and of course I did not bring an umbrella !I quickly put my camera bag cover on and went back to the station and it was still early and I did not want to come home so I tried to check if I could go to a museum, but it was closed too so I took the next train home!
but hey wasn’t a total loss ! I did get amazing photos today and you will see them soon in my flickr ! Also I found toilet paper 😀 which I have been looking for couple of days but always sold out 😀
But let’s hope things get better here soon ! Let’s all pray for Japan!
ps. if you are now in Tokyo, I heard if you are pregnant or if you have children you should not let them drink the tap water 🙂
