Feels like I never left

Now that I have been here for couple of days I have gotten this feeling that I never left, this place feels so much like home to me !

The first days here have been a bit on the crazy side with partying and drinking. If you try to speak to me I could not answer because I lost my voice in a bar 2 days ago.

But I have also taken some amazing shots which I’m sure you will like ! I’ll do my best uploading the rest today but for now I just show you some photos I took with my sony.

Few days ago we were in shock because the famous sky tree had disappeared !
Sky tree has been stolen !
It should be right in the middle of that photo but it was all covered with clouds and fog.

If you don’t know what the sky tree looks like here is a photo of it.

I went to visit Roppingi hills as well and saw how beautiful the Mori tower was with the fog.

Mori Tower View, 東京 日本

Hellooooo!!

I’m flying back to Japan this Sunday (13.5). Get ready for many updates and keep an eye to my flickr as well since I will be adding photos a lot again !

I’ll be flying with through London this time.
My schedule for that day

– 4:00-5:00 am. Bus to the airport
– 8:00 am. flight from Helsinki to London
– (3 hour 10 min flight)
– Chilling 4 hours at the airport
– 1:30 pm flight to Japan
– (11 hour 35min flight)
= Total flying time 14 hours 45mins

Arriving to Japan Monday morning.

I’m so excited to be going back! I’ll be making a nice post of my trip to Japan, photos at the airport, airplane and more.

I’ll start packing soon, I have already selected the clothes but I haven’t yet decided which luggage I should take. I got my good looking samsonite that is lighter than my other bag from whirlpool but I can fit more things to the whirlpool one.

I have again crazy amount of movies, tv shows and anime to watch while I’m traveling!

This time I will try to take much more “people” photos with my big lens or I just nicely ask in Japanese if I can take a photo of someone 😀

I have been practicing my Japanese a lot and I’m pretty sure I can manage myself much better this time.

Asakusa and Odaiba

Image

I got very beautiful photos last sunday as you have probably seen in my flickr. I would say that some of these are the best shots I have taken in Japan. I’ll tell you what I did that day.

In the morning we were thinking what to do, my girl wanted to visit a cat shrine at Asakusa and also buy some famous japanese sweets as well that they sell there. Had a breakfast at Subway which was very interesting since it was very much different then the subway I am used to.

When we arrived to Asakusa we went to Senjo-ji first to pray. A lot of people as usual.

The search of the Cat shrine started! Wasn’t too difficult to find but it is kinda far but absolutely worth it. Small place but very nice for people who likes cats, if I am not mistaken it is also called love shrine.

Sadly when we arrived to the shop where my girl wanted to buy her sweets, they were solled out. Seems that they are bit famous that only one shop in Asakusa sells them, bur we decided to get something else that was also tasty.

We took the Asakusa line to Mita station and from there were walked to Odaiba through the rainbow bridge, because I wanted to take photos and because I’m kinda trying to save money.

Normally walking through that bridge doesn’t take that long but since I had all my camera equipment with me I was taking photos like a madman.

Here are some examples what I got.

I got some amazing shots of the Tokyo tower as well ! Even tho the Sky Tree is big and wonderful, we can’t forget one of the main symbols of Tokyo.

Also from the Odaiba beach I got some great photos taken.

Those small boats you see at the beach with those beautiful colors are actually floating Izakayas ( japanese type of bars) and Monja&okonomiyaki (see what these are at my japanese food page) restaurants. They are not actually that expensive either the ones I read about only were about 4200yen to 6000yen a person. I’ll see if I will go on one of those boats this Autumn!

After this long day of walking and photo taking we were both hungry and decided to find a restaurant in aquacity that had a beautiful view. Of course at that time all the restaurants were pretty packed but we did find this very delicious American buffee restaurant, eat and drink as much as you want for 2000 yen, lots of delicious foods and deserts as well

just 2 photos of the many many plates we had, if I remember right we had total about 10 empty plates so that would make 5 and 5.

Whose desert looks more delicious to you ? My girlfriends or Mine! I say mine!

The Long walk

Image

At the morning I was in a walking mood so I took all my camera gear and jumped to train to Monzen-Nakacho and from there I walked to Tsukiji fish market which takes about 1 hour and half. Took some beautiful photos on the way as you can see in my flickr.

From Tsukiji Fish Market I continued my walk to Hamarikyu garden, which is my favorite garden/park in Tokyo. Very beautiful place with lots of seats to relax with a nice view.

While I was walking I saw this old man fishing and looked like he was catching something big so decided to whip out my big lens and start taking few shots.

After he got it , he let it go and continued!

At the park I got beautiful photos of these flowers , they are now all over Tokyo.

After I had my breakfast at the park I left to Ginza (walking of course) and from there back home to clean and wash my clothes.

Here are couple more photos for y’all from this day!
