Sky Tree & Party in Shinjuku

This day was awesome because I had a party with my friends whom I haven’t seen for a while and also I visited the mall of Sky Tree Solamachi with my girl.

Since my girl wasn’t in Tokyo for the grand opening of the sky Tree she wanted to visit there before we left to Aomori and after 40 minutes walking around the shops there I had to take her to get that smoothie/shake shop I found on my last visit there.

I had my favorite which of course is Strawberry shake

and she had the pineapple one.

I preferred mine tho since mine was more sweeter 😛

Later that day we went to omote sando to shop some clothes and after that we went to Shakeys pizzeria. (you know I love that place)(we don’t care about the pizza that much but the onion rings are the best)

In the evening we had our party at a Izakaya called Wara Wara in Shinjuku.
Always happy to see friends and make new ones at these parties !

This is actually kinda funny, I normally love wasabi but this evening my throat was hurting so eating it was a little bit more difficult than I thought.

1st. This is me with the Wasabi before I ate it. ( you can see there is quite a lot of it)

2nd.Ok so now it’s in my mouth, all good so far..

3rd. Here it got me since I could not swallow it and the hotness was getting higher and higher. Luckily I had a nice cold beer in my hand to help.

Normally, like now I could eat that piece of wasabi and not blink an eye.. just saying 😀

Don’t you just love these things at the izakayas? 10 minutes after the tray arrives to the table, it’s empty.

for the last note, have you noticed that in Japan they have changed the sprite can for “older” looking design. I normally don’t drink sprite but the cool looking can made me get one.

Dinner at Shinjuku Izakaya

Today I will make a post about the Tokyo motor show but first I want to share couple of photos about our pleasant evening at a cheapish izakaya in Shinjuku. We haven’t eaten in many of these 270yen izakayas together so we decided to have a try. (Normally we go to better places as you might have seen from the photos I have taken)

That particular evening the izakaya we chose had a discount evening, everything 250yen (+tax)… Super cheap but the quality is what it is, not saying that it is bad but not the best either.

Beer was good my fried chicken and eggs were great, my girl also ordered some other dishes for us.

This next photo has nothing to do with food nor Izakaya but saw these at Donki and had to snap a shot, should I some ??

Shinjuku saturday! Welcome back to japan party

Saturday went so well that I am surprised ! My girl and I went to eat at denny’s near our house

And my beautiful & shy girlfriend

We tried to not to get too full since the party started already at 7pm. We arrived to Shinjuku about 5pm I’d say. We quickly wanted to go for a smoke near the shinjuku station and we noticed that there was a live band and I decided to video it a bit, very good actually.

I wanted to go to Shinjuku’s famous Kabukicho area to take photos since the last spring I was in Japan, all the beautiful NEO lights were off because saving electricity.

I got some photos taken that I have always wanted to take in japan. I’m going back there later with more time to get some even better photos as well !

We went to gaming hall to play few games like mario cart and this crazy pirates game 😀  I actually won my girl in Mario Cart which is a miracle since she is a mario cart master ! I got lucky I’d say 😀

Time was catching up to us and it was already 6.45pm so we decided to go infront of the Izakaya to wait for everyone else ( I am the host and all ). I like to be early for everything as well.

Party went very well ! was in one of my most favorite izakaya in Japan. Delicious food and great company, what else could you ask for ?.. Beer ? we had that heh more then enough since we took a party menu we could drink as much as we wanted.

Ikea and Izakaya, the life in Japan

Here we are again !

Second day in Japan ! I need to be in a soft area when I sleep so had to go to Ikea to get me some pillows and other stuff and we decided to eat there as well. To be honest the food was delicious, in Finland the ikea food is horrible but in Japan it seems to amazing ! I recommend.

After ikea we made a quick shop in a foreigner food shop (gaijin food) bought some nice little treats for us !  Surprisingly cheap place considering that it’s all imported.

I saw a Touch screen vending machine ! it was great 😀 need to try to use it next time I see it , oh the technology is moving fast !

We got home and freshened up and left to the Izakaya where we first went on our first “date” , not that amazing place but the food is to die for and the people are great ! I recommend, Odaiba aqua city (only izakaya there)

After we got ourselves full we continued drinking in my favorite bar at Monzen nakacho (monnaka) .
It’s name is ZERO , it is kinda hard to find if you are not aquatinted with monnaka, but the signs to find it are that it is blue and has a bicycle on the window 😀 I have a nickname for it “Jitensha” which means bicycle in Japanese.
